This is hard for me to do, but...

it's time I put my Bellanca on the market. Seems like I got into a 90/90 RV 6 (90% done, 90% to go)and selling my Cruisair is how I plan to afford being able to put an engine/prop in it. My youngest son tells me that I would have had less emotional trauma selling him rather than the Bellanca...(not exactly true, though there were some times when he was a teenager....!?) I have owned the Bellanca for almost 18 years, and as I told Robert, I DO wonder what the hell I am doing, but after a long talk with my wife, and plans for what we want to do after her retirement, we agreed that this was, for us, the best choice. She said she would continue working until the RV is done (talk around our airport is that I didn't tell her that she would have to work for another 10 plus years).

I am sure, like some previous posters, that I will have times of regret that I sold the Bellanca, but then we are all responsible for our choices, so I will try not to cry on this site about how I miss it. I do intend to continue to participate here, and would be happy to continue to furnish any information/337's etc that anyone could use...and besides, considering the market, it is not likely that it will sell all that soon!

Although I will continue to answer the phone, "Traitor!" when your caller ID comes up, Larry, if you are indeed both retiring and she does not have full confidence flying in your B14A, I don't see that you have much choice really. However, when it does sell, if you return here to whine about how much you miss it, I will mock you mercilessly. But you know this.

New TAP. a 1958 Cruisemaster 14-19-2 for sale by Jim in MI. Anybody have a take on this? What is the N# and why are we selling cheap? Lynn the crate 8)

Two Jims selling Downer 'Masters....the one with all the fancy stuff inside has no price posted (the one in Georgia). The other...well...Lynn, you know better than just about everybody - after a recover job that turned into a restoration - that "always hangared" is a claim you can't take seriously on its face (and the guy in MI doesn't even make this claim), plus the less expensive one does not come with photos.

My initial answer, of course is, "Because he actually wants to sell it." :)

I saw the Georgia airplane in '05. Rome, GA. It's been repainted since then. It was decent at the time and did live in a nice hangar with several other airplanes. I bought many hundreds of pounds of Ken Royce stuff from John Karlovich but not his airplane. 51B was the second 230 built, I have 52B as a project, 53B is the incident airplane in Ft. Worth. 54B used to be up here in the Seattle area and was the cover airplane for the owner handbook. It went to the bottom of the Long Beach, CA. harbor after another fuel mismanagement problem under new ownership. Didn't float.................. Tid bits of info........

The one in Fort Worth has been bought back from the insurrence company and the owner is going to put it up for sale as a project.

If anyone hears of a good 14-19-2 project please let me know..... I have been hunting one for 20 years or so. Thanks Ken 307-699-0087
