Please forgive me if this question has been asked recently. I'm on my Blackberry and its features are limited. What do all the letter desigations mean? For example 8GCBC and such. I've kinda decided to purchase an aircraft, and my choices have been shortend to a Pa28-180 and a Citabria of some sort I have flown Archers and cessnas quite a bit, but fell in love with a ride I got from my bro inlaw in a Citabria. I don't even know what it was exept that we spent quite a bit of time inverted. I am hooked. So, can someone point me to a source to decipher all the designations? This would be of great help.

Here is a link to the models currently in production.

7ECA (Aurora)- 115 HP, no flaps, no inverted fuel/oil
7GCAA (Adventure)- 150/160 HP, no flaps, no inverted fuel/oil
