Super Viking in heavy Rain

Hello, I'm evaluating the purchase of a Super Viking to replace my T210. Recently on a return trip to Va from New Hampshire I encountered some heavier than expected rain. So, by now you've anticipated my question - given the wood and fabric construction and the concern about monitoring the moisture levels in the wing, how well does this aircraft tolerate foul weather when airborne.
