Refueling overflow

I’m a new owner of a 7GCBC and when I’m refueling I’m having trouble determining when the fuel tank is close to being full. I find it hard to see the fuel level until it’s close to being full. Any suggestions on how not to overfill?

It is very difficult using those huge fuel nozzles many FBOs use. I try to fuel where they have the automotive automatic shut off type nozzle, I just put the nozzle in about 4" and it shuts off automatically. I have no idea why so many use those huge nozzles without auto shut off, they are terrible.

Sometimes I hold a flashlight along the gas nozzle and pointed down into the tank even during the day so I can better see the rising fuel level. I fill to the bottom of the metal fuel sleeves. That's about full. But after you do the second tank, if you want both tanks to be full-full, you'll have to go back to the first tank as some fuel will have crossed over to the second tank.
