New Decathlon owner!!!

I'm proud to announce that I took ownership of a 1977 8kcab a few days ago. The airplane has been at my local airport since new. It was completely refurbished in 2001 along with an engine overhaul. It was never put up for sale, I just found out about it by word of mouth. When I first looked at it, I knew I was going to buy the plane. I test flew it, had a pre-buy done, then sent it to annual. I'm pretty happy right now and can't wait to enjoy the plane.

Congratulations!

I've done most of my private training in a 1979 model. Who needs flaps anyway? I don't think I'll ever fly flaps down and upside down anyway.

I've really been enjoying myself.

Charlie, I checked out that web link. It looks interesting. There's a Pitts S2B at my field available for rental. I took it up the other day for spin/stall awareness training. All I can say is... oh my. It was quite the experience.
