For those of us electrically challanged

My ammeter was changed so that it worked as a load meter and just gave me gen output. Since I do some IFR in this plane, I wanted more info...and besides, I like toys, so I got a field approval to put in a Davtron Volt Amp Amp (not I am not stuttering) meter. It has a three position switch that gives me system voltage, generator output (Load Meter) and battery charge/discharge amperage (conventional ammeter). It is a LOT cheaper than the Electronics International meter too. If anyone needs the 337 (and field approval) I will be glad to send you a copy.

At first they said I could install it as long as I kept the original meter in the plane...I do like to know what is happening, but two load meters on one poor ol' 25 amp Delco seemed a little extreme, and besides it was a redundancy that I just couldn't stand...and I am easily confused.

It only took me 6 months to get the Portland FSDO and Seattle ACO to approve it! Guess i shouldn't complain, it did get approved, but JEEZ it is a PMA'd instrument for two other aircraft...and I did get to remove the old ammeter. So I even got to save some weight...maybe two onces?

It would be nice to have a spot as a central repository where we could upload our 337's so folks could download them when needed. It would save from having to email or snail mail them to multiple people. It would also be a place where folks in the future could find them easily. Robert, anything available here for that?
