His wife's sister (I believe) named Katie Stacha (not sure of the spelling) inherited it all. She held a personal sealed bid auction that didn't go over so well. Instead she found several people willing to pay her prices and she sold off everything. All that's left are the hangars.
I bid on an original Fokker D.VII Axial prop, a SPAD XIII project and the Bristol F2B jigs and drawings. I was bidding against Kermit Weeks and a couple of other guys.
Maybe Mr. Weeks got it all? I never heard who ended up with it, but I did hear it was to the tune of $5 million.
All of this information was picked up piecemeal, so I can't guarantee the accuracy.
Never quite got over Frank's death. He treated me like a good friend although I barely knew him. I can still see him landing that Albatros D.V at the last WWI Fly-In in 1994 just before the thunderstorm hit.
