Death Valley Sunday Brunch Fly-In
When: Sunday January 24, 2015
Where: The Inn at Furnace Creek
Time: Depart Furnace Creek Airport for the Inn at 10:30am
I need to know who's coming so I can make reservations.
Death Valley is very nice in the winter. A desert landscape with lots of old west history. This is a unique destination for pilots and I return to it every year 3 or 4 times. The Furnace Creek Inn was built in 1927 by the Pacific Coast Borax Company of Twenty Mule Team fame. This is my favorite SoCal destination.
The menu changes every year but the Inn at Furnace Creek provides a very nice brunch. Prime Rib, omelet bar, salads, a desert bar and much more.
After brunch we can walk the grounds of this historic hotel followed by a visit to the Furnace Creek Ranch for shopping and the Borax Museum. Transportation around Furnace Creek is provided free by the park.
