Covering the fuselage- two irons?

Looking at the section of fabric that rises up to cover the vertical stabilizer, and not wanting to get the durn thing lopsided, I was idly wondering- If I buy a second iron, calibrate it, and get Margaret to exactly mirror my ironing, I wonder if it'll keep the fabric more in line than ironing a little on one side and switching to the other- back and forth, back and forth ad nauseum :?:

Still need volunteers to clean the old fabric glue off my wings- you KNOW it's loads of fun

Just iron one side then the other. Watch the seam line. It will take about 10 min. and the tail will be done. Pull all your slack to the bottom of the plane and then cut along one longeron and glue. Have fun

I used a sock from aircraft spruce. It fit fairly well and it was cheaper than buying all the cloth in strips. Because of the airflow around the fusaloge, you will have to sew your sections if you don't buy the sock. What I did was pull the sock on' pulled all the excess to the bottom and cut it away at the lower longeron. Make sure your headlinner is in. It wraps around the top braces. You have to use a 3" tape at the bottom but it won't be seen. The fusaloge was easy. The wings are harder because of the bottom being concaved. You don't have to heat up the wings past 250 Degrees. Only just enough to get out the wrinkels. Good Luck
