Cleveland brakes and wheels conversion for 14-13-2

The question has been asked about using the original master cylinders found in the 14-13 series with Cleveland brakes.
Well, they will work, with limits. They won't hold for a full power runup....mag check will be ok. The pedal pressure will be high if you really need brakes. On the positive side....you'll never be able to nose over........
I lived this way for 20 years.
You don't need to change the axle for the 1 1/2" ID. bearings. I just made two steel press to fit bushings for the bearings to ride on the original axles. Been that way on my 14-13, for a long time.
I plan to be at Columbia...in my "mystery ship."

Buy the CD for Mike Grimes Cruisair. It has the cleveland wheels and master cylinders listed. It is the best written 337 that I have ever seen, but maybe that is because Mike works for the FAA. All of my paperwork is in storage right now, or I could give you the N number. Maybe someone else knows the N number?____Grant.

Although my bird is still a project, it does have Viking axels and Cleveland brakes. My I.A. told me that my original master cylinder is all that I will ever need.
