Why is it that 3" SCAT tube doesnt fit on 3" nipples?

I dunno, I have the same problem with my Skylane.. I gotta hunch A/S is buying from China....
 
Bought some SCEET from A/S, it does fit better but it's too stiff for my intake air
-3 has a nosewheel and an IO-470 so there's precious room in that area and the air control is on the bottom all the way to the back so - it takes two hoses in a Y arrangement.
Bought some SCAT from Wag-Aero, it fit fine.

Looks like A/S has a quality issue...
