Seat AD 89-18-06

I am doing an annual inspection on a GCAA that I bought a few months ago. Ad 89-18-06 which requires the replacement of the front seat frame has not been complied with. Any suggestions as to the best place to get the seat frame to comply with this AD. Thanks,

Wow! That AD is 15 years old, and only gave 150 hours before replacement was required!!! Either that plane sat idle a lot or a bunch of IAs missed that AD.....

But, to answer your question....the most obvious place to get the seat would be from ACA, however, they would most likely also be the most expensive. Try Univair or Wag-Aero. They both have FAA-PMA'd parts for a variety of aircraft.

I'll go out to the airport today and check through my catalogs and see what I can find.
 
Well....No luck with my catalogs, but try Rainbow at 509-765-1606. From what I understand, these people can do almost anything with Citabrias. They'll either have one, or can tell you where to find one.
 
I bought an adjustable front seat for my 1974 7GCBC from ACA last year and sent back my seat for a core charge credit so they might have used ones.
