I have a 2001 Super Decathlon. During any type of positive G loading, the rpm gauge shows about 100-150 increase in rpm. During negative g loading, the gauge shows just the opposite. I can't really hear any surging or changes in rpm, it's just on the gauge. Even just a simple short pull followed by a push back to level flight shows these changes. I've been told that the problem might be with the cable to the gauge. This has been an ongoing problem for the past 2 years without any worsening or new problems. Otherwise, the prop works just fine. However, I do notice a small amount of grease on the back of prop after each flight that has remained about the same over the past year. Probably will need new prop seals at some point. Only has about 420 hours TTSN. Any thoughts?
