Trying to stop oil leak coming onto cowling AND windshield. Replaced flange, rubber diaphragms, etc. ANY advice?

I seem to remember hearing that a fine system of grooves (applied with sandpaper?) at the foreportion of the crankshaft (and in the right direction/angle) will act as a slinger to force oil back into the engine. Ask a real mechanic.

Peteee. I found most times it is the engine crankshaft seal that is causing this problem. It is easy to change and a cheap first shot at your problem. There are two ways to do it after pulling the prop, Split the seal or stretch it on. I always stretch it on. Glue it in with Pliobond and I bet this will fix your problem.  Lynn N9818B the crate

My suggestion was assuming that he had tried to replace the seal already. the grooves are applied while the seal is out and are just to rear of seal. not deep just 1-2/10,000 inch I was told ( i think that's measured with guesswork).
