I just bought N8849R seen here http://www.biplanebuilder.com/bellanca.htm for 5900.00. Another member of this forum, who also bought a plane (Pitts S1S project) from the same man is to pick his and mine up next week. If anyone knows anything about this particular plane or Cruisemaster 260's in general that would he helpful please chime in... This is probably akin to buying a 10,000 piece jigsaw puzzle and asking someone for advice on putting it together isn't it? This will be my 1st plane.

PS hello everyone I am new here, just joined on Charles's advice (the other forum member/saintly impromptu trucking co.)

Rock, first buy all the -3 manuals from the club. This will answer many of your many questions. :P Lynn N9818B

OK, I just paid for a years membership and bought 10 books that look to apply including the advised Viking related documentation.
I have ordered B-001, B-005, B-006, B-016, B-065, B-081, B-101, B-111, B-161 and B-171.
I think that included all of the -3 material.
And as for avionics the panel looks to carry an altimeter and a turn coordinator, that should about do it huh?
This is going to be a big deal I can see...

Hello Rocky, I own N8835R, also a 14-19-3. I call my bird the "Bugsmasher" it has turned heads and made Bonanzas sweat when you ease by them. It is a pleasure to fly. My wife and I went on a flight for breakfast a few Saturdays ago. We went to Sulphur Springs, TX and ate @ the Red Barn Cafe. Good but smokey. When leaving a guy heard me say Triple Tail 35Romeo departing 36. The guys comment was, "hey you came over my house about 500 ft. Man you got a rocket!" Well I guess he heard the afterburner vaporizing the 2 RV-6's in the pattern. It is one thing to hear that on the radio! But it is PRICELESS when your wife hears that and then repeats it on Facebook! So I walk around knowing I got a rocket. I'm in Hugo, OK (HHW). Phone number is 580-317-5999. Shawn Francis. Do two things for yourself!!!! Listen to me !!!! Buy all new fly wires for the tail. I have broke 2 of them in flight! once my wife and me and the other time my whole family! not good!!! the other is fix the slack in the trim tab! that fludder has been deadly! I was fortunate when I experienced the fludder. my email is N8835R@yahoo.com Yes you can red line in the pattern!

Hey Robert I will! My new email is N8835R@yahoo.com What number would you like me to contact you on? Thanks Shawn Francis
