Limiting speed for Pilot vent window on a Cruisemaster

I have the small 5 inch by 6 inch vent window on my Cruisemaster which is limited to 120mph if I remember correctly.
I have accidentally had it open above the limit but didn't notice any adverse effects besides a whistle and the suction the window created (with the fresh air vents open)
Is there a safety hazard to having it open?

Thanks!
I forgot mine was open recently on a hot day, and was cruising along at 145ish with no noticeable effects besides the whistle and suction I mentioned.
I just wanted to ensure that I was not causing some serious damage somewhere by inadvertently leaving it open.

On my first flight in 9800B, the door popped open and our chart for Louisiana and Texas flew out the door. It happened so fast it sounded like a gun shot!
I wonder if the speed placard for the window is for a similar reason?
