I'm stuck- I need some advice

I'm at the point of installing the interior and covering everything, I feel overwhelmed and have stopped working on my Cruisair altogether. :?
How in the world does one get over the hump to start the restoration process up again :?: :|

One problem is the local upholstery shop has had my seats since mid- November and they're STILL not finished. The front seats are, but not the back.

I also don't know how to lace up the front seat sling to get it tight... The back one was easy. I used a "baseball" stitch pattern and got it nicely snug, although I'm not sure about what kind of rope is best for this application.

Maybe Sun N Fun will reinspire me...

Dave, I feel your pain. Although I have 1419, I went through a similar experience with the guy doing my upholstery work. The seats were done, but he still had minor items like rugs, trim, and some kickpanels to do. Finally, I said "start Wednesday or I pick up the materials on Thursday." Wound up picking up the materials on Thursday. Did it my self. As to the seats in a 1413, sorry , I can't help there. But this has been a "ground-up" rebuild for me, which started in Mar. 1997. I just dropped off the fuselage fabric with a seamstess today to sew the top seam. When it comes to getting into and through a project like this, it's like eating that elephant- One bite at a time. If you already have the material for the interior, Talk to Airtex at Sun&Fun and see if they will finish it for you. They have all the patterns and are very good at it. Maybe I will see you'all at Sun & Fun. I told my wife that if A/C work is slow on Thursday I am going to leave early Friday and come back Sunday or Monday.

Dave,
One thing that helps me sometimes is to tackle a small project like covering an aileron or flap or something like that.... it seems to get the ball rolling again, and gives ya something to look at. Another thing that I like to do is have a bunch of people over, like the local EAA group, and show them the project... that usually generates a bit of enthusiasm too.... good luck!!
