Upon dissassembly and cleaning of my lifters (F-150) they don't pass the air test because the floating one-way valve is apparently worn out. If oil can be discharged from the lifter the valve won't open all the way. These are Johnson style lifters which I can replace with Harold Sand's (Audubon, IA) Wilcox style lifter. These parts are pricy at $50 ea. Can anyone comment on the Wilcox lifter and whether I could just replace the little valve in the bottom of my existing lifters?
