Franklin 150 exhaust valves and owner produced parts

Does anyone know about owner produced Franklin 150 exhaust valves? I am familiar with the FAA reqmts for owner produced parts, but wonder if anyone has done this for these valves.
Thanks! Larry

They probably haven't been made. I know they could be made, because I have brand new replacement valves for the Ken Royce engine. The outfit that made them could make Franklin valves if they had a sample and a blueprint/spec. They would probably be cheaper than you could find NOS, elsewhere. They are made in the USA, not India! They will probably never be made because no one will take the initiative to get the process started. No one has the drive, interest and motivation. If it takes three years to figure out what to do with a bent engine mount, how long will it take to produce valves???

Dan, you hit the nail on the head. What is needed right now is an original print, and specs for the #18084 exhaust valve.I believe they were made by Eaton. My FSDO is good to go with owner supplied valves if they can compare them with original specs. That is what they tell my IA. I have called Susan and Bruce and Phil, with no results on prints. Does anybody have a better idea?_____Grant.

I have brand new 18084 valves that could be used for a pattern. The metallurgy on new valves would be different from original. They weren't sodium cooled, so that makes it pretty easy. All it takes is $$$.
