First let me say I don't have a clue how to blog (if that is what I'm doing). Assuming anyone sees this post I need info on the Decathlon (probably Citabria) fuse panel. I have a 73 Decathlon. It has been a project for the past 1 1/2 yrs. I'm guessing it will never be done. My current interest is wiring. As I've been thinking about replacing all my fuses with breakers I started looking at the panel. I don't know what is what. It would help if I knew what it looked like from the factory. What it T. AND B.? I have a breaker/switch for strobe lights. I have no strobe lights. What is ALT FIELD? The box has been modified with some breakers but still has fuses for most of the systems and pretty much original. As well a wiring diagram would be very helpful. I look forward to any help this post might garner.

Alt field is the circuit providing power and or protection to the field side of the alternator.
T&B is probably your Turn and Bank indicator.
A photo of your instrument panel and fuse breaker panel would help us make better educated guesses.
Bellanca-Champion Club sells Service manuals. Look under publications at home page.
ACA has numerous technical drawings for sale. Not sure about a electrical drawing for your aircraft. Call their parts department. They have always been very helpful.
ACA also issued a service letter on a safety related recommended update for earlier aircraft such as yours. This should be part of your project if it was not already done. It is available on their website.
I am guessing that you may be a little over your head taking on an aircraft electrical project if you did know what Alt field was. Projects can be a great way to learn as long as you have a mentor or proper oversight. Reach out to your local EAA chapter. They may have a member component to mentor you through your project.

I agree with Bill's comments. Go to this club's home page, if you don't have the parts manual and the service manual, order them.
Both manuals have the electrical schematic in them.
I to think it sounds like your a bit over your head, that's ok, you just need to find mechanic to guide you. Also all the service letters are on the www.americanchampionaircraft.com website, free. Service letter SL 418 pertains to the electrical system.
