Cruisemaster Check List

Has anyone generated a personal check list for your Master?
Pat Driscoll made a very nice and detailed check list for start up, take off, cruise, hot start, etc, that I inherited with the Cruisair, but unfortunately, the Cruisemaster had no such list.
The POH isn't very detailed, and I would appreciate seeing what others are using.

Thanks

Adam, I don't have one for the 'Master, but I'd sure like to see what Pat put together. Can you send me a copy?

Larry,
I didn't have the foresight to make a copy, and passed it on to the new owner, I will reach out and see if he will copy it for me.

Ralph,
Thanks!!
I think I am going to steal your list and specify it for my bird!

This is a check list that I modified from one I found on the internet. I used the Cruisemaster Flightbook as a guide. I can send it as a .doc file if anyone would like to modify it further. Can't find a published glide speed for the 14-19-2

I am only familiar with the Cruisair speeds, so the reference to 100 knot best glide really surprised me since the Cruisair is only 85 MPH. That is a big difference for a plane that has the same wing area and foil and only 550 lbs more gross. Maybe I missed it, but I dont recall seeing any flap speed? Interesting differences. ____Grant.

Gliders carry water ballast to "move" best L/D to a higher airspeed. Considering that the 'Master weighs over 20% more than the Cruisair I'm not too surprised that the best glide is so much more...though I wonder if anyone has actually tried to verify that speed.

I wasnt aware of that. I wonder what the best glide speed is for the 3200lb Vikings since they also have the same basic wing? ____Grant.

While working on my commercial in the Cruisemaster I got a chance to play with different glide speeds and found that at 100kts my 14-19-2 sinks like a rock, and you won’t get far. At 80-90 the sink rate is down to 650fpm and the glide is much longer, both time and distance. I don’t think the book number is correct. I will use 85-90(mph indicated) if I ever need to glide to the airport.

Just want to make note on the checklist I posted. The glide speed was just a guess. Have not had a chance to test fly. Hate to pull the power off in the cold temperatures. The 100kts was just a place holder. Sounds like 85kts would be a much better speed. Thanks for the posts. Will test the speeds this summer.
