I got into a annual on a 1948 Stinson 108-3. I know some of you boys are also Stinson fans. My problem is the rudder trim indicator is not working. It appears to be missing something that holds the indicator wire against the jackshaft. There is a Stinson group but you have to jump through Yahoo loops to get in--no thanks. Lynn the crate :?

lynn,

Call my friend George Leamy, who rebuilt my Franklin 165 in 1992 and is still kicking, resides in Pauline, SC (south part of Spartanburg County).

He was the President of the Stinson Club years ago and still has at least two Stinsons and as far as i can tell knows Stinsons well.

I will email you his phone number.

Jeff, thanks for the come back. Flying out from Lee Bottom I stopped for fuel in Snyder kY. Met a man with a C140 restored and doing a Stinson 108-3. There it was all open and this is how it works. What a Godsend. Nice people and good fuel price 4.40. Oh by the way the OPEC 0470 got 12.1 gal per hr at 7500 ft. Lynn
