I'm about to change the old u/c U-bolts on my 7KCAB for the new 3-piece type. Does anyone have any tips about making this change, can I remove the old U-bolts with the weight still on the wheels, or does the aircraft need to be jacked?
Talk to Mike at ACA. When I obtained my frame there we put the gear under it for transportation on the trailer. In my own opinion I believe you will get a "more true" torque setting without the weight of the frame to contend with.
