Any backing on interior panels?

My vinyl looks like it's just stretched between wood formers and stapled. Is this typical? Sure looks easy enough and should look OK.

Seats are being sewed up as I type! Yippee! :D
 
Double D, I used ensolite for backing on my interior panels. It keeps you warm and cuts the noise. I bought a roll from Aircraft Spruce, it is easy to use and works great. LYNN N9818B :?
 
I need to order a few more sq. yards from Airtex to match my seats. I'll finish up the interior this winter.

Still having trouble lacing up the front seat sling though :?
 
I removed the sling and installed a piece of plywood (Birch) I have about 500 hrs in my 14-13-2 in the last couple years and got tired of the back carry through spare hitting me at the base of my spine. I could not get the sling to hang tight across the 2 spares.

On another note I saw were someone said the leveling post were ground down and someone was going to make 2 by copying the ones on there plane. I have 2 fuselages in my hanger and neither one are the same. When they weld the frame before they remove it from the jig they weld the post in so they show level. Almost every plane will have a difference size post on them. :D :roll:
 
So That's why there was a piece of plywood under the seat cushions!
I thought maybe they just wanted to sit up higher!

So no matter what I do I won't be able to pull the sling around the front tube to eliminate the sag in the back? Well poot...
