aileron hinge

has anyone had a hinge crack on the inside aileron at the bearing area?
my 2003 7gcbc had a crack where the bearing is. amer. champ said they never had it before and were NO help. less than 300 hrs. no airbatics done in it

I had a 7AC that developed a crack in the right inboard aileron hinge at the top of the fitting. It was very hard to see but was found during an annual. Have no experience with late model American Champion aircraft.

I,ve had a few crack the steel hinge point on the aileron inboard side. They cracked from the corner radius to the end rivet, common to the spar.
