I am located in KY, have a 1960 260 and my anchient Mccauley C33 Propeller wasn't serviceable anymore blades doesn't meet specs. Mccauley doesn't have a new blades or a new prop that I can buy and hartzell only has one 2 blade option new. Seeing if anyone had done any more common 2 or 3 blade field approvals or even stc's. Thanks any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

That's a tough one. The 260 triple tails are different than the 260 'Viking style'.
My 14-19-2 has the cursed Hartzell 2 blade. I'm looking to upgrade to a McCauley. McCauley has a newer model 2A34C203 / 90DCA-8
installed on Cessna 182s fits O-470K engines and seems a good candidate tHE -8 is the number of inches the blades are shortened. Bellanca Cruisemaster blades are even shorter. I'm hoping to get a field approval, as a logical replacement, if I can't find a good 2A36 type my plane was certified with.
I plan to call a lot of prop shops to find the original certified prop / spinner etc. It's cheaper and less bother.

Scott,
Check out STC SA 203GL. It allows the installation of the McCauley 2A34C66-N/S 90AT-12 prop on the -2. See Dick Jacob at Northwest Propeller. He'll get you squared away.
