Hello. I’m 1965. I am an experienced A&P mechanic of 42 years in general Aviation. My favorite aspect is restoring antique/ classics. I’ve recently been hired to restore this 14-19-3 tricycle gear beast. I got it completely disassembled. Getting ready to sandblast the fuselage frame. I’ve been in touch with Alexandria Aviation & they are working on getting some drawings. I’m here today to ask if anyone has or knows someone with an airworthy example that I may get pictures from. I have done lots of Chiefs & Champs. But nothing this complicated. Can’t find any good parts manuals that show where everything goes. Thank you for any assistance you may have.
 
I think Paul Workmans is a 260 tricycle, he is in Zanesville Ohio and on the bellanca registry for interiors and mechanics. Hope this helps.
 
Hello 1965... I'm really pleased to hear of another "-3" Cruisemaster in the process of coming back to life and would be more than happy to help you with pictures and other advice. At the present time I own three of the -3 aircraft and have another one I am fixing up for a friend. I believe I have placed hands on every nut, bolt and piece of wood in these machines. Since you mention you are experienced with the antiques and classics you no doubt understand the issue of greatest concern: condition of the wings, especially the spars. If you are satisfied that the spars are good, then there nothing else on the plane that can't be restored using conventional techniques. There are, however, a few issues that can be problematic, namely the powerpack and the condition of the landing gear in general. I have a 14-19-3, S/N 4169. Bought her about 5 years ago and absolutely love it. Great performer, payload and handles like a dream.

I'm not an A&P or anything but I do maintain my airplane myself and do most of my own light MX work. If I can help with anything feel free to ask and I'll try to get you what info I have.

My background is lifelong GA flyer, currently a full time corp jet pilot and part time WC-130 USAF pilot. I've flown a LOT of aircraft and the Bellanca Cruisemaster has earned a special place in my heart (for those who think I have one!)

I have many pictures of my -3 in various states of assembly :). I’m serial number 4222. Feel free to bug me for pics and I’ll see what I can find. Isn’t reverse engineering fun?

Richard, isn't this forum great? Quite a few -2 and -3 owners and we are here to share knowledge and help each other. I do have one request: please copy my on pictures and other valuable data so that I can include this in my gallery of images and info. --Rob
