Here is a follow-up… as I mentioned in my previous post I did follow-up with the seller to find out more about this -3 for sale. To make a long story short: I bought the plane. It was truly a “barn find”. The airplane is in remarkably good condition considering it has not flown in eight years. Plus the deal included a bunch of spare parts. The seller – an exceptionally nice person – bought the plane intending to get his A&P and his ticket to fly, but as things happen this did not work out for him and he made the reluctant decision to sell. I am in the process of getting this bird in flying condition and plan to ferry the plane down to Dan Torrey to perform the annual. Now as a dedicated taildragger guy, I had to overcome some resistance to that wheel in the wrong place, but I must admit that the fuel injected IO-470 is a nice piece of equipment. Not to forsake my love of the taildragger I can now continue with the restoration of my -2 without being land-bound. Please expect to see a series of questions from me as I am on the fast-track to get my new ride fixed up. Thanks to Adam for the post last month! --Rob
