Has anyone done a complete overhaul of the main gear on their Cruisemaster? I am considering doing this and would like to know if anyone has the specs for the springs... or a source for the springs... in the oleo struts. North #5466
I haven't done a complete overhaul, but I did replace the springs and bushings at the top of the tubes. All of the parts are readily available from Alexandria Aircraft. They said they are still the same ones used in the Vikings.
This gear is pretty simple, just like a motorcycle strut. Russell Williams has good info on his site in his landing gear rebuild. The gear in my opinion is the weak link of the -2. Alexandria has most of the parts and can provide the drawing. Lynn the crate
