    First Cruisemaster flight

I brought home 7651B yesterday and had a blast! I averaged 140 knots at 12gph over 5 hours of flight time at 8500 & 12500. Is this fairly normal? The autopilot really does make a huge difference on cross country trips! There is going to be a steep learning curve on the 430w though. It lands...

    Question for Admin: Photos

Is it in any way possible to upgrade the size of photos that can be uploaded to these forums? Perhaps I am not doing it correctly, but I always get a size limitation of 1MB. Camera technology is so good nowadays, that even with basic pictures from my cell phone, I typically get pictures in the...

Notes from selling a Bellanca and VREF

Here are some things I noticed while selling my Crusair. Maybe they will help out anyone else is looking to sell an airplane (preferably a cessna to buy a bellanca). I showed my airplane to a broker, but wasn't impressed by the services they offered so I decided to sell it myself, on theory that...

    Instant sellers remorse

I just delivered my beloved crusair to her new owner in MO. Barely made it in around all of the storms, maybe it was a sign I shouldn't have sold her? I had 13 hours of flying over two days to stew in the reality that she was really going to be gone, and it wasn't easy. I went through all the...

Structural differences between the 14-19 and 14-19-2

This is not a question of the engine, engine mount, etc etc. Other than the firewall forward, are there any major structural differences in the 14-19 and 14-19-2 airframes? Landing gear? Wing differences? Is the interior the same? Width length etc? Thanks

    Air wolf oil seperator

Has anyone used an air wolf oil separator system on the Franklin or Continental 230? I was thinking it might be worthwhile to be able to carry a full 8 quarts of oil and clean the belly less. Thoughts? -Adam

    1957 Cruisemaster on Barnstormers

Good Morning all, A Gentleman listed a 1957 bellanca on barnstormers with no price or pictures, and I just gave him a call. It is a cruisemaster, mccauley prop, less than 100 hours on the overhaul but it was overhauled in 2007 by the owner. It has been sitting in a hangar for an "annual" for the...

    Revelations in Aircraft Ownership

Things are moving quickly, and I thought I would update the group. I made the mistake of mentally tallying the cost of installing an Aux tank, baggage compartment, better tailwheel, and IFR panel in my Crusair. Long story short: it is for sale. Shorter story: I am looking to purchase a...

    Aux fuel and baggage compartment

I have come to the conclusion that a sooner rather than later project on my Crusair will be adding an auxiliary fuel tank and a baggage compartment. From my search of the forums, it seems like you can install the 14 gallon aux fuel tank through the door without cutting fabric? For the baggage...

    Cruisair to Cruisemaster tailwheel conversion.

I have heard that it is possible to use the cruisemaster tailwheel fork on the cruisair (in order to use a pneumatic tailwheel tire) Is this actually possible? If so, is it simpky removing the old strut and sliding in the new one? Thanks! -Adam
