    Venturi locations

74392 came with twin venturis mounted on the bottom of the boot cowl. I figured that wasn't the original configuration because of the panel riveted over the left side of the boot cowl. Well here's a pic from the Muse'e de l'air with the same setup as 392 had. Personally I'll stick with mounting...

Decided to sell my Cruisair project

Not sure if this is allowed here, but I wanted to let you guys know the best 14-13-2 Cruisair Sr project ever is now for sale in the Fly Market. It was a hard and depressing decision to make, but I finally had to be totally honest with myself. Certain events and circumstances in my life just...

Dumb wiring question (speaking of) about headsets

I'm adding a second headset plug-in point to my new panel. I was planning to just parallel my wiring off the original plug to the second one across the back of the panel. Am I missing something? My feeling is I need to do some noise suppression (electrical) to prevent the wiring from becoming...

    Aeromatic Prop mistake

Well I got REAL excited when I found out Mrs. Leydecker had a really nice Aeromatic prop for sale on an F200 hub. Bought it, brought it home. While admiring it sitting on a kitchen chair, it dawned on my I had bought a 74-inch F200 Aeromatic with a 6-bolt flange on it. Any idea what a...

    Aerothane paint blending

I'm very close to assembly of 392. The way I see it, you can't shoot the Poly-Spray until you have everything assembled except for the flaps and ailerons. Everything has gap tape. Gap tape between the elevator and horiziontal stabilizer, between the rudder and fin, between the horizontal stab...

Does the Culver Dart qualify as LSA?

Just curious. It would be nice to have something I could fly that doesn't burn a lot of fuel and still looks cool

    Paint at top of windshield

OK- I don't get it. I like the look of the painted area at the top of the windshield, but Do you just mask off this area and shoot Aerothane on it? Do I prime it first with Epoxy Primer? Does it get some sort of fabric there beforehand? I'm just confused :?

Heavy Case vs Light case Frankies

There's a 165 HP Franklin on e-bay right now. Number on the engine is 18906. Can you tell from this whether this is the heavy or light case 165?
