Question: I just purchased a set of A65 rod bearings, which have the oil hole in them. Where do you drill the hole in the rod cap? |
Answer:
Drill the big end of the rod cap as per the blueprint below, making sure they line
up with the hole in the new bearing. The (almost) illegible note points out that the oil hole is drilled away from the side stamped with the ID number. All rod bearings come
with the hole that matches, so one can use an old bearing as a locator.
